Just a little catching up

Here is my mom's pug Spike. He was visiting us for a while here in Kearny. It was in the early part of August and Spike over heats easily. We have a kiddie pool in our back yard for the dogs to enjoy while they are outside. Copper doesn't care it much.
Above is my dog Copper. He is so cute. Evan and I were sitting outside and watching the dogs play after putting on a load of laundry. Copper came up to me and look straight into the camera.

This is Evan's dog Reagan. He LOVES to climb on the couch with Evan and fall asleep. Reagan is a large dog and fitting him on the couch can be a challenge, but we get him there.

This is Evan's band. He is enjoying his second year as a band director. We now have flags. We are having a fun year. I have not posted in some time. We are busy, busy people.

This is a picture of the students Evan and I took to Four Seasons Music Camp in July. We had a blast. The only thing wrong with the whole week was the eighty something stairs the girls had to walk up to get to their cabins. I got some great workout going up those stairs. On a given day we had to walk up and down those stairs about 15 times a day. I saw a baby snake my first day there and thought "Oh great now I am going to I have to watch my step all week." I got to play my clarinet with the band. I had not picked up my clarinet in probably six years. I have to remember a lot of notes. Go thing I had my fingering chart with me.

The crazy people above are the girls from my cabin at camp. Yes, tie-dyed shirts are the dress code for the day of the concert. If you are not wearing a shirt you look very out of place. We all had nicknames. I got the name of Nice Luzer. Luzer is from a t-shirt I wear to bed that says on the front LUZER and on the back "Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." Jesus Matthew 10:39. This shirt is the most comfortable shirt I own. I would wear it everyday if I could. We also had Munchie (this girl fell asleep sucking on a ring pop. The ring pop was in her hair the next morning), The Giggler (this was a Kearny girl that would giggle at anything you said), Smiley (she didn't talk much but you could always see her pearly whites), Miss Pretty Eyes (she had pretty eyes, duh), Curly ( she had very curly hair), Rapunzel ( she had to longest hair at the camp), Little Creepy Girl (she wore black the whole time there and she had a similar nickname before), Bambi (previous nickname), and last but not least Froggy (this girl loved frogs). I plan on attending next year. It will be interesting to see how many more people go from Kearny. This year we had five girls and five boys.
This is a picture of the fruits of our labor. We have enjoyed picking and eating the vegatables from our garden all summer. We are now going to look for some winter plants to grow. Having a garden has saved us lots of money on vegatables. Its been a long week and I still have a day and a half (Saturday) to work before my weekend can start. My boss is on a turkey hunt so me and my coworker are sharing the responsibilities of being Postmaster. Well more later. Bed time now.

I posted on a blog that I grew a bean pod. I was excited I was able to grow something.
I left for a couple of days to go back to AZ and it was dead by the time I got back. Ugh!

I'm jealous of your garden!

Glad to know your summer was good!
